On Saturday night, Wizkid posted a single word on X: “Album,” and as expected, the internet did what it does. Literally seconds after, speculations, theories, and timeline predictions began to swirl up. Reports suggest a pre-release party is planned for Paris on June 25th, which would signal that something is coming soon. If confirmed, this will mark his first full-length project since Morayo in 2024, which he dedicated to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun.

The new project will join his impressive catalogue which began with breakout record Superstar in 2011, with Ayo following in 2014. Sounds From the Other Side arrived in 2017, after which his most globally successful record Made in Lagos dropped in 2020. The record featured the likes of Damian Marley, Skepta, H.E.R., Ella Mai, Burna Boy, Tems, and Terri. More Love, Less Ego was released 2022, with his joint EP with Asake, Real came in 2026.
As evidenced by the anticipation from fans and critics alike, one word on a Saturday night is enough to set things in motion, with the upcoming Paris party to reveal more.
