Jorja Smith has shared her latest single, ‘I Lied, You Lied’, offering another taste of her forthcoming third studio album, What Are The Odds, arriving on 21 August via FAMM.
Co-produced by P2J and Marco Bernardis, the track blends electronic programming, piano and saxophone with understated production, leaving Jorja’s vocals and storytelling at the forefront.
Lyrically, ‘I Lied, You Lied’ explores a relationship caught between attraction, dishonesty and emotional exhaustion. Jorja reflects on the push and pull of a connection built around mixed messages before ultimately recognising when it is time to walk away.
The single arrives alongside a music video directed by EphoExecutive and filmed in Mexico City, where Jorja recently supported Harry Styles across six shows at Estadio GNP Seguros.
Her 12-track album What Are The Odds will see Jorja explore influences spanning UK Garage, Grime, 2-Step, UK Funky and House, with features from Devlin and Wizkid.
The album arrives on the same day Jorja will co-headline All Points East at London’s Victoria Park alongside Tems, as she continues a landmark year marking a decade since the release of her breakthrough track ‘Blue Lights’.
