HBO’s Euphoria has once again poised itself as one of the network’s most-viewed content after season 2 just concluded with a bang.

According to Variety, the season finale drew a series-high 6.6 million viewers last night, with the Sam Levinson-created series averaging 16 million viewers each episode for Season 2. Which in turn serves as the network’s second-most viewed show since 2004, second only to Game of Thrones. Furthermore, Twitter reports that Euphoria has become the most-tweeted show of the decade in the US.

These are just a few of the accolades garnered by the HBO original series.

Following the show’s season opener drawing in a staggering 13.1 million viewers across HBO and HBO Max on Jan. 9th, the show has nearly doubled its viewership figures just by episode four.

Euphoria has been renewed for a third season, according to HBO. However, Zendaya, the show’s lead star and executive producer celebrated the Season 2 finale on Sunday night, she admitted on Instagram that the show will be gone “for a bit.” ‘The Idol,’ Levinson’s most recent project, which he co-created with Reza Fahim and The Weeknd, is now in development.

‘The Idol’ is a film about a “self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult, who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol.” The series will star the likes of Lily-Rose Depp, Troye Sivan, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Nico Hiraga, Melanie Liburd, Anne Heche, and Tunde Adebimpe.

Zendaya is expected to start filming Dune: Part Two in July. Despite the fact that she only featured for seven minutes in the first film, her character is expected to have a larger part in the sequel.
