Clayton Howard, one of the male escorts whose name came up during Diddy‘s criminal trial, is suing both Sean Combs and Cassie Ventura, alleging psychological and physical harm from sexual encounters he says were arranged during their relationship. The lawsuit is ongoing, and new court filings have sharpened the dispute between Howard and Cassie specifically.
Cassie had previously submitted to the court a message Howard allegedly sent to her husband Alex Fine in 2023, after she came forward with her allegations against Diddy. In said message, Howard wrote: “I know your wife’s truth is 100% valid… I’m glad she got some form of justice.” Cassie‘s legal team used it to support her framing of herself as someone who was coerced into organising the encounters under Diddy‘s direction. Howard is now arguing that the message was taken out of context, asserting: ”I have never stated [Cassie] was an innocent victim who played no role in,” he said in the new filing, as per TMZ.
The dispute has now moved beyond the legal documents, as Cassie‘s attorneys recently asked a judge to intervene after alleging that Howard had launched a harassment campaign against her online. In a letter filed with the court, her legal team cited social media videos in which Howard allegedly made threatening remarks directed at her, including: “B*tch, I’m going to burn you out with fire” and “You want to play stupid games, you can win stupid prizes.” The court has not yet ruled on that request.
As of press time, the case remains ongoing, with both parties disputing not just what happened but how each person’s role should be characterised. Howard is seeking damages, while Cassie maintains she was operating under coercion. The line between those two positions, and what the court makes of it, remains uncertain.
