Congratulations to Afrobeats artist JAYA for inking a fresh deal with the Empire Music label.
JAYA is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter who grew up in Minna, Niger State, with seven siblings. He studied biology at the Minna’s Federal University of Technology. Since being a child, JAYA has always wanted to be a musician.
In high school, he headed the music team, allowing him to completely develop his musical talent. He received his big break after meeting ‘Dr. Play,’ who helped push his efforts into success.
Previously operating as an indie artist, JAYA has embarked on songwriting camps with music artists including Buju, Tiwa Savage, Kizz Daniel, and others, while working together alongside producer Blaisebeats and K-Dream.
The Empire Music is a new music label based in Nigeria with affiliations in the UK and Atlanta, USA. JAYA initially caught their attention in June 2021, and management quickly moved to sign him once he met the label’s criteria for representation with preparations for JAYA’s debut EP project to be released under The Empire Music’s record label already in the works.
