Legendary, the son of Bre Tiesi and Nick Cannon, required “respiratory support” after birth.
Tiesi disclosed in an 11-minute birth video that the baby’s “long crown” was the result of a nuchal hand, or a hand by his ear, during birth.
The 31-year-old model stated, “I noticed he wasn’t crying,” adding that their midwife used an air tube on the newborn and when he finally began to cry, it was “the best sound I ever heard.”
Tiesi shared her home birth experience via Youtube, prompting viewers that the video was “intense” and somewhat “graphic.”
In the video shared last month, Tiesi makes a last-ditch effort to start labour before Cannon takes leave for an undisclosed number of days for work across the country.
Following her 10-hour labour ordeal, Tiesi said in the video that the “intensity of birth” immediately “humbled” her.
She went on, “This was the most limit pushing/painful moment yet completely empowering and beautiful.
“The intensity of birth takes over your whole body and I swear I was pushing so hard screaming and crying I started to break, I started doubting I could do it I kept saying why won’t he come, get him out.”
Adding, “At a certain point I had left my body I didn’t remember a lot of my birth until my team sat with me to process my birth which I felt was soo healing and helpful,” before expressing gratitude to Cannon for his support. She concluded by saying that, Legendary was doing “perfect.”
Legendary weighed eight pounds, 10 ounces, and was born on June 28 at 1:28 a.m. PT. He came in at 21 inches.
Legendary comes as Cannon’s eight child and the first together.
