Following the success of her recently released collab with Kranium, Nigerian singer-songwriter Yemi Alade has dropped her much-awaited new song, ‘Begging.’
The track, which is indeed a summer banger, has Yemi’s voice supported by a catchy melody, fused with significant jazz and hi-life influences.
Yemi Alade, a singer/songwriter from Nigeria, is regarded as one of the creators of the Afropop/Afrobeats genre. Yemi, who has won back-to-back MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) and has been nominated for the BET Awards and MOBOs thrice, is well-known throughout the world for her explosive stage presence and sublime voice.
Yemi, who goes by the moniker “Mama Africa,” views her African background as a superpower and takes pride in it.
