In a recent accolade for the music industry, Lauryn Hill‘s seminal work, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” has been recognized as the pinnacle of musical achievement according to Apple Music‘s panel, which includes a mix of artists and music experts. The 1998 album, which has been certified Diamond by the RIAA, was placed at the zenith of Apple Music‘s list of the 100 Best Albums.

Lauryn Hill, reflecting on the album’s creation, shared, “how much love was invested” into her art the time, which resulted in her aim to produce music she “wanted to see and hear…in the world,” Hill explained. “I’m grateful that it connected and continues to connect with so many people.”
Furthermore, the album has recently received other accolades, including earning a spot in the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry, as well as being ranked 10th in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Meanwhile, the top ten albums on Apple Music‘s list are a diverse mix, featuring Beyoncé‘s “Lemonade,” Nirvana‘s “Nevermind,” Amy Winehouse‘s “Back to Black,” and others.
While many fans were delighted with the outcome as the final results were revealed in stages over several days, some appeared dissatisfied questioning how Ms. Hill‘s album topped hits like Michael Jackson‘s “Thriller” and Ye‘s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” among others.
