Myles Smith returns with his debut offering, My Mess, My Heart, My Life, a 15-track album built around three interconnected ideas: Mess, Heart, and Life. He explains where it came from, citing old therapy notes, memories, as well as formative experiences.

“Every song reflects a different part of that journey — family, love, loss, mental health and self-discovery,” he said. “More than anything, this album is about learning to accept your past, understanding yourself a little better, and finding hope in the fact that we’re all a work in progress.”

The album is personal without being self-indulgent, with his track, “Sertraline” seemingly tackling anxiety directly. “Grandma’s Place” talks about family, while “Mary’s Song” addresses abuse. “Heaven,” co-written after watching friends get married and start families, is about finding someone who makes the world feel lighter. Myles said: “Sometimes, heaven isn’t a place — it’s a person.” The current single, “Hold Me In The Dark” sits around connection and finding light in uncertain times.

Myles Smith’s impressive rise to fame is palpable by his numbers including over 4.7 billion streams worldwide, 23.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, 2024’s BRIT Rising Star Award, Ivor Novello Award for “Stargazing,” which is 3x Platinum in the UK. “Nice To Meet You” was the most played UK song across radio, TV, and public spaces last year. He is currently on his biggest world tour, supporting Ed Sheeran on stadium dates and headlining arenas across the UK and Ireland. His O2 show in London is also sold out.
