Following DJ Premier’s recent 10-second teaser shared on his social media, the talented MC has released his Mass Appeal’s Hip Hop 50: Volume 1.

DJ Premier’s latest project highlights the sound of Hip-Hop’s preeminent producer and features Nas, Lil Wayne, Run The Jewels, Joey Bada$$, Remy Ma, Rapsody, and Slick Rick.

“I will always seize the moment of being unique when it comes to releasing music” Premier stated. “To be a part of Hip Hop 50 is an additional blessing to preserving the culture.”

The Hip Hop 50 Soundtrack will include 10 EPs of freshly released music by the industry’s top producers to celebrate 50 years of Hip Hop. Swizz Beatz, Mustard, The-Dream, Mike Will Made It, No I.D., Hit-Boy, Take A Daytrip, and Tainy will release new songs after DJ Premier’s EP.

Mass Appeal’s new contract with The Orchard will release the series. This endeavour will further reinforce the #HipHop50 movement by bringing together some of Hip Hop’s biggest personalities and honouring the latest and greatest. The Universal Hip Hop Museum, planned to open in 2024, will get a percentage of #HipHop50 profits.

Mass Appeal’s #HipHop50 project involves strategic alliances, worldwide activations, and unique content/programming. Mass Appeal partnered with Live Nation Urban to offer live events. This alliance will develop Park Jams and Festival stages that bring together Hip Hop’s voices.
