British rapper, ArrDee has finally released the full version of “Flowers (Say My Name)” after he has been teasing his fans with snippets of the music video. It appears that the rapper has started a trend in which he borrows legendary samples and connects them to the contemporary day. He did so with one of his most recent successful tracks, “Wasted,” which he co-wrote with Digga D and sampled from T2. He is at it again with this new song where he samples Destiny Child’s “Say My Name” and Sweet Female Attitude’s “Flowers”.

ArrDee takes on a cheeky persona as he delivers his endless innuendos with a light smile and a sparkle in his eye, replete with a set of visuals set in his Brighton neighbourhood.

Some argue that the usage of samples in his music is an unethical tactic to ensure that his music will be popular, but there is no doubt that the young rapper is one of the sharpest minds in hip-hop and knows how to write catchy songs. It’s also possible to argue that introducing his fan base to the previous hits should be celebrated.
