It would seem the recent finale on Saturday Night Live was the show’s least rated ever albeit one of the most eventful in the show’s history.
As reported days ago, the finale show saw the ‘Old Town Road’ hitmaker split his pants during a live performance on tv. Lil Nas X took to social media, following the event to address the incident, where he tweeted:
LMAO I RECORDED IT pic.twitter.com/FL7K6xg2aX

Despite the fact that X’s stage performance, especially the wardrobe malfunction, saw massive social media buzz, it wasn’t enough to guarantee a commendable season end for the highly-acclaimed live show, according to rating estimates. According to reports, the episode’s ratings were the lowest ever for a season finale of “SNL.”
The report read: “The finale, which sent strong signals that multiple popular long-time cast members may be leaving, drew a 3.5 household Live+Same Day rating in the 44 metered local markets and a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating in the 25 markets with local people meters.
That was even with the rating deliveries last week and is tied for season lows among both households and 18-49 in the metered markets.”
