Miguel delivered a captivating and spine-chilling performance at his album party on Friday night (August 25), creating an unforgettable spectacle. The event took place at Sony Studios in Los Angeles, where the singer treated the audience to a 4-song performance in support of his upcoming album, “VISCERA.”

Per reports, attendees were informed ahead of the performance that the 37-year-old star was planning an innovative and boundary-pushing show.

True to his word, Miguel’s performance was unlike anything seen before. In a video capturing the moment, Miguel appeared shirtless and positioned himself on a cube seat while three assistants inserted two metal hooks through temporary piercings on each side of his back. These hooks were then connected to a suspension device, which elevated Miguel off the ground and towards the ceiling as he passionately performed his song “Rope.”

For approximately 4 minutes, Miguel suspended in the air, showcasing his artistic commitment and courage. The suspension device then gently lowered him back to the stage, where his assistants carefully removed the hooks from his back.

The audience reportedly responded with an enthusiastic applause, seemingly impressed by the audacious performance.

Days later, Miguel took to social media to share a photo of his bloodied tank top, which he supposedly wore after the performance, as well as a photo of his pierced back, with the caption:

“VISCERA…..What is your relationship to pain ? What is your relationship to change ?,” he wrote.

Sources reveal that Miguel had ample preparation ahead of the event, which spanned several months, conducting trial runs alongside a team of specialized experts in the field of body suspension.
