Giveon has released Beloved: Act II, a deluxe expansion of his sophomore album that adds five new tracks to bring the total to 19 songs.
It arrives nearly a year after the original, which debuted at number two on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums and number eight on the Billboard 200, earning a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album, and was named one of Rated R&B’s 25 Best R&B Albums of 2025.
The new additions are well cast, with “Jezebel” opening the deluxe set with a sound that reaches back toward The Gap Band’s “Outstanding” and Frankie Beverly‘s “We Are The One” — warmly nostalgic without feeling like pastiche. “Save Some For Me” with Kehlani is built around mutual longing, the two trading verses that plead for a chance at something real: “Oh, you can always count on me / Are you gon’ save some for me?” The chemistry is there. “Fool Me Once” features Leon Thomas, “Replica” brings in Sasha Keable, and “Keeper” reunites Giveon with Teddy Swims, who previously appeared on “Are You Even Real.”
Giveon described the original Beloved as “a complete encapsulation of the very transformative growth I experienced over the past three years. My trials and tribulations, the good and the bad, all helped form this album.” The deluxe edition feels like a natural extension of that rather than an afterthought — the collaborators are specific, the material is consistent, and nothing here feels like it was left over for a reason.
