Amanda Reifer has just dropped her electrifying new single, “RUDUMB?,” produced by music icon Pharrell Williams and co-written alongside the lyrical powerhouse Kendrick Lamar.
Released via Title 9 in partnership with Atlantic Records, the track marks a monumental first for Reifer as she steps into a groundbreaking collaboration with Pharrell—a union that promises to redefine the soundscape of her debut solo album, The Reifer Files, slated for release this spring.
“RUDUMB?” is a high-energy, danceable anthem that fuses a classic Pharrell style—complete with a slick bass thump and signature drum patterns—with Reifer’s confident cadence and a fiery, infectious refrain. The track’s vibrant production serves as the perfect backdrop for a song born out of Reifer’s personal frustration with being underestimated as a woman in the music, love, and business worlds.
In an impassioned statement, Reifer explained how working with masters in the studio unlocked parts of her creativity she had long kept hidden. “When we wrote this record, I really wanted to give voice to that part of being a woman that is often forced to be censored and made small for the comfort of others,” she shared, adding that the process sharpened her confidence in claiming her space.
Adding to the single’s impact is its striking visual presentation. The vibrant artwork, crafted by renowned Korean contemporary artist ZiBEZI—famous for his work in the Oscar-winning film “Parasite“—captures the audacious spirit of the song.
