New Zealand-born artist and producer 9lives, a major figure in the sigilkore scene, has just released his latest single “MULTIMILLIONAIRE” featuring Trippie Redd and Odetari.
At only 19 years old, 9lives has amassed over 600 million streams and gained TikTok virality for tracks like “Lights” by Skaiwater and Midwxst. Positioned at the intersection of Trap, Cloud Rap, Hyperpop, and Electronic music, sigilkore is an internet-born subgenre with a supernatural sound characterized by bass-boosted 808s, distorted synths, and dark aesthetics inspired by video games and anime.
Having collaborated with A-list artists like Rico Nasty, JELEEL!, Kanii, and Odetari, 9lives has already produced for Trippie Redd on “Popular” from his latest LP. “MULTIMILLIONAIRE” reaffirms 9lives as a rising star within the sigilkore scene, featuring an explosive hustling anthem alongside Trippie Redd and experimental artist Odetari.
Starting his musical journey less than two years ago, 9lives, initially producing trap beats, found inspiration in the sigilkore community, pushing the boundaries of the eclectic sound. His breakthrough single “XTAYALIVE” with 100M+ streams garnered viral attention, leading to collaborations with Trippie Redd and an EP with Odetari.
Recently signing with PULSE Records, founded by PULSE Music Group, 9lives aims to establish himself in the mainstream realm of experimental production and artistry, showcasing the sigilkore genre to a wider audience.
