Investigation Discovery is set to air a new documentary titled ‘Chris Brown: A History of Violence‘ on October 27th. The film will delve into Brown‘s alleged history of domestic abuse allegations and other legal issues, including his widely publicised 2009 assault on Rihanna.
Over the years, Brown has been involved in multiple legal battles. In addition to the assault on Rihanna, he’s faced lawsuits, including one for an alleged dog attack and recent accusations of assaulting concertgoers. These incidents have kept Brown‘s controversial past in the public eye.
Despite the ongoing criticism, Brown has pushed back, expressing frustration with what he sees as a double standard in how artists are treated. In response to renewed backlash after collaborating with Chlöe Bailey, Brown stated, “If y’all still hate me for a mistake I made as a 17-year-old, please kiss my whole entire ass. I’m f**king 33. I’m so tired of y’all running with this narrative.”*
Brown then went on to call out “cancel culture” for what he perceives as its selective outrage over the behaviour of other artists.
He said, “Where are the cancel culture with these white artist that date underage women [or] beat the f*ck out their wives. Oh. That’s right. They are your buddies. No more fake love from me. Stay out [of] my way or get ran over. Simple as that. None of you and I mean none of you can f*ck with me.”
In addition to the Chris Brown documentary, Investigation Discovery is developing a docu-series on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, which is set to be released in 2025. The series will focus on the charges of sex trafficking and racketeering Combs is currently facing.
In the documentary trailer for ‘Chris Brown: A History of Violence,’ an unidentified woman is heard saying, “Chris Brown’s an amazing and talented musician, but let’s call a thing a thing. He’s an abuser of women.”
