Rising rap talent Lola Brooke has released her latest single, “You,” featuring R&B star Bryson Tiller. The song samples a classic from fellow NYC-based femcee Foxy Brown, “Get Me Home,” which originally appeared on Brown’s 1996 debut album, “Ill Na Na.”
Produced by Khris Riddick-Tynes and LilJuMadeDaBeat, the official music video for “You” recently dropped on YouTube and features a cameo from New Orleans rapper Rob49.
Lola’s “You,” adds to her growing music catalog, which includes previously released singles such as “Just Relax” and the Billy B-assisted “Don’t Play with It,” which was recently certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Thanks to the viral nature of her tracks on platforms like TikTok and more, the budding artist recently earned her first major nomination in the Best New Artist category during the 2023 BET Awards. A feat which was aided by multiple features with a diverse array of recording artists, including Latto, Yung Miami, Flo Milli, Ciara, NLE Choppa, Coi reLay, and more.
Additionally, Brooke’s is in contention for the title of Best Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist at the upcoming 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, scheduled to air on Tuesday, October 10th.
