K-Trap has released his sophomore album, TRAPO II, reconnecting with the raw and uncompromising energy that introduced his fearless TRAPO alter ego.

Out now via Thousand8, the project brings together an international cast including Nemzzz, Len, Oxlade, Young Adz, W1ZZY, Masicka, Isabel, 36 and G Herbo, spanning UK rap, Afrobeats, dancehall and US hip-hop.

The album serves as a successor to K-Trap’s acclaimed 2021 mixtape TRAPO, which marked a pivotal moment in his career.

“TRAPO is when I get in my bag. When I’m in that mode, I just go full steam ahead and I’m going for it,” K-Trap explains. “I wanted to recreate that feeling for myself.”

The project includes current single ‘Can’t Relate’ featuring Young Adz, which has secured a spot on the BBC Radio 1 C List.

Now operating independently, K-Trap approached TRAPO II with complete creative freedom, using the sound and mentality that established his name as the foundation for his next chapter.

“They think they know what I’m capable of, and they really don’t,” he says. “TRAPO II is going to prove that.”

K-Trap will also take the project on the road this autumn with the TRAPO II UK Tour. The five-date run kicks off in Glasgow in October, with W1ZZY joining as the opening act. The tour will give fans the chance to experience TRAPO II live following its release, alongside selections from K-Trap’s wider catalogue. General sale begins Friday 28 August at 10am.
