Youtuber Niko Omilana who started off by taking a jab at London’s mayoral elections managed to come fifth after polls suggested he was the highest-ranking candidate following those from major political parties.

Nike previously finished in fifth place in an exclusive opinion poll for ITV News London, the highest position for a candidate not affiliated with Labour, the Conservatives, the Liberal Democrats, or the Green Party.

In the 18-24 age range, 19% said they are willing to vote for Niko in the forthcoming election.

However, polling indicated that he was only the first preference for City Hall for 5% of Londoners, indicating that he was unlikely to become mayor but we assume that wasn’t the intent here.

Niko launched his bid for Mayor of London a few weeks ago, saying, “There is no greater leader in this country than me so please my friends, vote Niko for Mayor of London on May 6th or your breath stinks” which he released in a video that went viral shortly after.

Coming out victorious was Sadiq Khan with 1,013,721 votes followed by Shaun Bailey with 893,051 votes, Sian Berry with 197,976 votes, Luisa Porritt with 111,716 votes, and Niko Amilana with 49,628 votes.

All in all, Niko has made his presence known in the field and being as young as he is, who knows what the future holds.
