According to WSBTV’s Michael Seiden, Young Thug and Gunna are among 28 people linked to YSL who were charged in a 56-count indictment on Monday.

Young Thug, real name Jeffery Lamar Williams, was arrested after his home was raided and is currently being held at Fulton County Jail. According to jail records, Thug has been charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and involvement in criminal street gang activity. The conspiracy charge originates from an alleged incident on January 24, 2013, while the gang charge is linked to a May 12, 2018, alleged crime.

Gunna, whose real name is Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, is said to have been charged with one count of RICO conspiracy.

The rapper is accused of renting a car that was used in the 2015 drive-by shooting that killed 26-year-old Donovan Thomas and injured two others. Christian “Big Bhris” Eppinger, who is named in the 56-count indictment, was arrested earlier this year in connection with the shooting of an Atlanta police officer.

Prosecutors claim that Eppinger and Antonio Sumlin asked Thug for permission to make a second attempt on YFN Lucci’s life, according to WSBTV. In February, Lucci was allegedly stabbed at Fulton Country Jail.

Jimmy Winfrey, also known as Peewee Roscoe along with Thug and Gunna, was named in the indictment which is said to include attempted murder, theft, and other charges. In 2015, Winfrey was charged with shooting Lil Wayne’s bus.

Speaking for his client, Young Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel told Mark Winne of WSBTV:

“I’ll tell you the response to any allegation; Mr. Williams committed no crime whatsoever and we will fight to my last drop of blood to clear him.”
