FRESH L. – DUNSIN WRIGHT

Guess who’s back in the spotlight? It’s Nigerian singer and rapper FRESH L.! He just dropped his latest rap single called “Dunsin Wright”. Now, this track is a mix of self-adulation and a tribute to the famous Nigerian fashion stylist Dunsin Wright. And let me tell you, it’s produced by none other than Odunsi the Engine, an amazing alternative music singer-songwriter. In “Dunsin Wright”, FRESH L.. absolutely kills it with his rap skills. He’s all about praising his own music potential, but he also takes the opportunity to compare himself to the up-and-coming fashion icon and influencer, “Dunsin Wright”. You may know “Dunsin Wright” as the in-house stylist for Grammy and BET award-winning Nigerian artist, Tems. These two have such a tight bond and have been collaborating for years. FRESH L.. really wants to shine a light on “Dunsin Wright” and his incredible talent through this single. He even claims, “I’m always in style, better do me right. I style niggas like Dunsin Wright.” Confidence is definitely oozing out of this song, as FRESH L. appreciates his own rap game and hypes himself up. TKAY MAIDZA – WON ONE

Exciting news! TKAY MAIDZA just released a super sassy Y2K-rnb inspired track called “Won One” from her second album, Sweet Justice. This song is all about addressing the misogyny in the music industry, and let me tell you, it was therapeutic for TKAY MAIDZA to write. She’s not holding back, she’s not regretting anything she said. It was like the words just flowed out of her without any overthinking or editing. Speaking of Sweet Justice, it’s a classic breakup record with a twist. The songs on the album dive deep into TKAY‘s battles with self-doubt and her struggle to find her true self. This record is her way of channeling all the emotions she’s experienced over the past couple of years. It’s like a personal diary that she’s finally sharing with the world. And let me tell you, making this album was a healing experience for her. She’s grateful to have worked with producers who have been a huge inspiration throughout her career. THE BLK LT$ – CONTRABAND

Check out Andreena Miller, the talented singer and songwriter known as THE BLK LT$ (pronounced The Black Lotus). She just released her latest track called “Contraband.” It’s a beautiful song about a love interest who has her hooked like a drug. The soulful production and captivating storytelling will definitely catch your attention.

Andreena is a powerhouse from Toronto who has collaborated with some of the biggest stars in the industry like Drake, DMX, Future, Coi Leray, and P. Diddy. She’s also had the pleasure of working with Grammy award-winning producers such as Matthew Boi 1Da Samuels, Noah 40 Shebib, Hit Boy, Rodney “DarkChild” Jerkins, and the legendary duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. She’s just getting started and feels like she’s only scratched the surface of her potential. With her raspy voice and impressive piano skills, Andreena is also a writer for Universal Music Publishing Group in NYC. Her music has been featured in feature films, TV shows, and commercials. She’s been nominated for several Juno Awards and is currently producing music for other artists. On top of that, she’s scoring documentaries and directing music videos under her own BLK LT$ Media Group. Andreena’s sound has evolved over time into what she calls BLK Soul. Through her music, she aims to showcase the dark and quirky side of her personality. Her raw lyrics and sensual melodies effortlessly blend bone-rattling bass lines and head-knocking drum beats with a futuristic yet nostalgic sound. Currently based in Los Angeles, California, THE BLK LT$ is busy writing and producing for many up-and-coming artists. She’s also working on her self-written and self-produced EPs titled “Petals Of Metal,” which are set to be released in early 2024.

 

MALKA – PA TI PA TI

The singer-songwriter has been waiting for this moment for a while now, and she’s finally ready to show everyone what she’s made of. With her tight blend of Reggaeton and Latin infused dance pop, MALKA has created a truly unique and captivating sound. She just dropped her very first single, “PA TI PA TI“. Speaking on the track, MALKA reveals: “I wanted my first release to be sexy, playful and fun with good energy as I feel that’s what most of my music is about. I don’t want my music to be complicated or hard to get, I just want people to push play and dance and feel good. Sure, the topic is about guys always pulling different moves on girls, but it happens, sometimes the other way around but it’s all fun and games!” MALKA has such an interesting background! She was born and raised in Spain, but her roots are a mix of British, Moroccan, Ukrainian, and Uzbek. No wonder her music is so unique and diverse! Growing up in the south of Spain, MALKA was exposed to a wide range of cultural sounds, from Reggaeton to Flamenco, and even Russian, Arabic, and Hebrew songs. She always had a passion for singing and performing, and she started her musical journey by training classically. At just 14 years old, MALKA was scouted by an A&R at GME Universal Music Spain, which launched her into the industry at a young age. When MALKA moved to London as a teenager, she was offered a spot in a five-piece R&B girl band, but she didn’t have much creative control. Then, when COVID hit a few years later, MALKA made the decision to leave the girl band and take matters into her own hands. She used the lockdowns to write music, collaborate with producers, and create demos right from her own room. With all the knowledge and experience she has gained from the industry, MALKA is now ready to share her craft and enjoy the rewards. She has already made a name for herself on the live circuit, playing at various festivals and gigs across the UK, including opening for artists like CECIL. Another artist to watch!
