Taking to social media on Friday (Sept. 23), Wizkid announced his historic headlining performance at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Announcing the exciting news, Wiz wrote, “NYC!! Biggest Bird flying your way! 🖤❤️🦅 Tickets on sale Sept 30! 🗽”

The Grammy winner’s performance will be only the second for any Nigerian musician, coming shortly after Burna Boy’s headline performance on April 28th, 2022.

The announcement comes after the release of Wiz’s new single, “Bad To Me,” as well as his critically acclaimed single, “Essence,” which features Tems and a Justin Bieber remix.

The official Twitter account for MSG also shared:

“@wizkidayo will perform at Madison Square Garden on Nov 16! Chase cardholders get early ticket access Sep 26 at 10am to Sep 29 at 10pm, while supplies last. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Sep 30.”
