The cast and initial information for Spotify, Warner Bros., and DC’s new podcast Batman Unburied have been unveiled. David S. Goyer will executive produce the new podcast, which will star Winston Duke as Bruce Wayne while Jason Isaacs stars as Alfred, Bruce’s faithful butler, and right-hand man.
The new podcast series, which will be directed by Goyer and his Phantom Four production company, will depict a different aspect of the Dark Knight. Batman Unburied is a psychological thriller that takes us on a fascinating adventure deep into Bruce Wayne’s mind, featuring a variety of iconic Batman Super-Villains and a plethora of nasty twists and turns.
Bruce Wayne will be introduced as a forensic pathologist working in Gotham Hospital’s basement, tasked with investigating the bodies of The Harvester, a vicious serial killer preying on Gotham’s residents. The Super-Hero will not only have to confront his own psychological issues but will also need to overcome them in time to save the residents of Gotham as Batman.
This comes after Spotify and Warner Bros. and DC announced a multi-year deal in 2020 for a roster of narrative-scripted podcasts that explore the stories of your favorite superheroes and supervillains.
