Vivica A. Fox is calling out Jada Pinkett Smith after the 50-year-old finally addressed her husband Will Smith’s Oscar slap during her latest episode on Red Table Talk.

While making an appearance as guest-host for ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ on Thursday (June 2), Vivica Fox stated emphatically that Jada failed to handle the delicate issue correctly during her latest episode of “Red Table Talk.”

It’s worth noting that, the recent episode mostly delved into Jada’s medical condition called alopecia, which is the reason she’s had to shave her head. However, Jada does touch on Will’s Oscar slap, where she attempts to call for reconciliation between Rock and her husband.

She said in the episode, “About Oscar night. My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile.

“Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years — and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together. Thank you for listening.”

While it is unclear whether Jada will address the matter further in future episodes, her recent comments appear to have upset Fox, who stated that she cried out of frustration after hearing Jada’s remarks.

Vivica, who has previously worked with both Smith’s, told the audience:

“This is going to be difficult for me. When I saw this video last night, it made me cry; I’ll be very honest with you guys.”

She goes on to explain, “Will Smith that night, as far as I was concerned, was going to be crowned this generation’s Sidney Poitier, which is a huge honor.” But sadly, his Oscar slap will ultimately overshadow hiw epic achievement and even more so was his uncomfortable statements during his acceptance speech.

Vivica went on to say that, the 94th Academy Awards event “was a night of African American and diversity for brown and Black people,” as the ceremony was being executive produced by a Black man. “That now will forever be scarred.”

Adding, “Also, let’s not forget, Chris Rock was assaulted. We cannot forget that for basically telling a joke that I really felt wasn’t that bad.”

Vivica will then address her issue with Jada’s remarks during her Red Table Talk episode, saying:

“Will Smith was defending her honor, that’s the reason he walked on stage and slapped because he felt like his wife had been offended so for me to see no accountability as a partner.”

She added, “I just wish we could have just a little more accountability and for it to not seem so self-righteous on Jada’s part and that’s my feelings.”

The emotional show was then lightened up after Vivica asked co-host Carson Kressley for his thoughts on the matter, to which he responded by launching into a lengthy critique of Jada’s fashion choice, which Vivica and the audience found hilarious.
