Beyoncé has never been one to hold back praises to her idols growing up as a young artist and according to Victoria Beckham, Bey was inspired by the Spice Girls too.

During a new episode of the Breaking Beauty podcast, Victoria dished on her encounter with Beyoncé, saying: “I don’t talk about it that much anymore, but what I [remember is that] we inspired lots of young women. When I met Beyoncé a few years ago, she actually said to me: ‘It was the Spice Girls that inspired me and made me want to do what I do, and made me proud to be a girl and proud to be who I am.’”

Beckham added, “When someone like Beyoncé, who is so iconic and such a strong woman, says that she was inspired by the Spice Girls, that’s quite something.”

During the late 1990’s the Spice Girls- which Victoria Beckham was a member of- made major waves in the music industry, and as so, became trailblazers for many young talents at the time.

Speaking of their influence back in the day, Beckham said: “all about accepting who you are. it’s ok to be different, let’s not try to change who we are, let’s celebrate who we are, let’s celebrate the fact that we’re all different, which is why inclusivity is so important to us.”

This comes after Beyonce was seen in the latest installment of Netflix’s Selena series, randomly meeting the music legend in a Texas mall. Click here to read the full article.
