While the R&B legend, Usher gears up for his Las Vegas residency sometime this year, he’s seemingly making major moves on the side, and the latest stems from a team-up with beverage brand Rémy Martin.

The Aptly titled ‘Team Up For Excellence – The Film,’ short film, is directed by Jake Nava and is to commemorate the intertwined excellence of music and Cognac.

The short film highlights the cultural bond between Cognac and American music that dates back to 1917 in France, and how the two have remained connected ever since.

Speaking of the film, Usher said:

“Music doesn’t need Cognac to exist, and Cognac doesn’t need Music to exist, but what is beautiful is that they were meant to meet and when they did, they created cultural harmony.”
