It would seem ‘Madea’ isn’t retired, after all, seeing as she’ll be making a comeback just in time for Netflix’s new installment of the franchise.
The Hollywood mogul has confirmed that ‘A Madea Homecoming’ will be shown on Netflix in 2022.

Perry will write, direct, and executive produce the film, as well as appear in the lead role “Madea,” with the entire production taking place at the Tyler Perry Studios.
The announcement of a 12th Madea movie comes as a surprise to fans, as Tyler previously stated that he would be retiring the character to pursue other endeavors.
However, given that the franchise has grossed over $1 billion in North America alone, it’s no mystery that it’s being revived by the streamer.
