The film, which stars Taryn Manning as Karen White, is about a racist, entitled woman in the south who terrorizes her new African-American neighbors. Karen will then make it her mission to drive the new youngsters out of her neighbourhood by any means possible.
The film derives its name and theme from the many “Karens” that have gone viral in recent years.
Coke Daniels, who will direct the film, said he believes it will provide a unique viewpoint on a variety of subjects, including race relations in America and social justice.
‘Karen,’ starring Cory Hardrict, Duane Finley, Dawn Halfkenny, Jasmine Burke, and Gregory Alan Williams, will premiere on BET in September.
