Prosecutors have filed a request to hold Tory Lanez in contempt for breaching Megan Thee Stallion’s restraining order, according to TMZ. According to sources, Lanez’s infraction arises from his surprise performance at Rolling Loud Miami last month, soon after Megan had performed.

The ‘Say It’ rapper shocked audiences when he appeared on stage during DaBaby’s contentious act, which followed Megan’s. Prosecutors are reportedly arguing that Lanez’s participation at the festival violated the restraining order since he was allegedly within 100 yards of the ‘Savage’ rapper.

According to a source close to Lanez, he never saw Megan or ventured near to her throughout the event. Authorities think DaBaby and Lanez planned to storm the stage during Megan’s act according to a source, however, the details of the claimed plot have not been released.

The Miami and Los Angeles police departments were reportedly informed about the probable infraction, according to TMZ. However, the departments have yet to issue a public statement about the event.

Per reports, prosecutors are seeking an increment in bail or complete cancellation, which if it should be allowed by the judge, will see the Canadian artist held in contempt and remanded pending trial.

A contempt hearing has been scheduled for next Thursday.
