Despite a spate of recent releases, Tierra Whack has appeared to indicate that she has quit music.
“I quit,” the rapper clearly noted on her Instagram stories earlier this week. “I’m done doing music.”
Whack’s unexpected announcement comes weeks after she released ’76,’ to commemorate the Philadelphia 76ers’ NBA playoff appearance.
The femcee also told Variety last year that the follow-up to her 2018 debut, “Whack World,” was “definitely” on the way, which makes her recent announcement rather bizarre.
Tierra however, alluded to what may be the cause for her retirement, as she took to Twitter yesterday (June 30) and tweeted, “I ain’t finna ruin nobody else day just cause I’m having a bad one!”

Fans took to social media to express their disappointment with Tierra’s retirement announcement, pleading with the femcee to keep on and not quit.

Prior to her recent releases, Whack has seemingly been hard at work, as she previously released her single ‘Dora’ in early 2020, which was accompanied with a stunning, surreal music video shot by Alex Da Corte, before releasing two more songs ‘Feel Good’ and ‘Peppers and Onions’ in November.
