The Voice UK is undergoing one of its biggest shake-ups yet, with Cheryl and Aitch joining the famous red chairs while Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon take over presenting duties.

The revamped line-up will see Cheryl make her return to a major television talent show, years after becoming one of the best-known judges on The X Factor. The Girls Aloud star will join Manchester rapper Aitch as two of the programme’s new coaches.

They will sit alongside returning coaches Kelly Rowland and will.i.am, with the Black Eyed Peas star remaining part of The Voice UK after appearing on the show since its first series.

The changes mean Sir Tom Jones will no longer serve as a full-time coach after nine years on the programme. The veteran singer previously revealed that he had been dropped from the panel despite wanting to continue, although discussions are reportedly ongoing about a smaller role in the new series.

Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones will also depart after sharing a chair as joint coaches for the previous two series.

There are major changes away from the red chairs too, with Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon taking over as the show’s new presenters.

Dixon brings extensive talent-show experience to the role, having previously served as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing and Britain’s Got Talent, as well as presenting programmes including The Greatest Dancer and the Eurovision Song Contest.

Solomon first rose to prominence as a contestant on The X Factor in 2009 and has since built a successful television career, including presenting BBC series Sort Your Life Out.
