‘Willow’ debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #1 only to drop nearly 40 spots down in the following week, however, there is a catch.
As we are still in the festive season, many songs being streamed are Christmas-related tunes for obvious reasons and in the mix is ‘Willow’ who inherently fell to #38 on the charts.
The massive drop can also be attributed to the massive promotional period during the new album’s premiere week which usually serves as a boost for new releases to debut atop the charts. Only this time, the fall beat the former record of Nicki Minaj and 6ix9ine’s ‘Trollz’ track which dropped to #36 a week after its debut.
‘Willow’ is expected to bounce back into the Top 10 at least, after the festive season ends as Taylor’s latest effort ‘Evermore’ still reigns high atop the Albums Chart.
