Scooter Braun is back in the new and this time is for selling the catalogue of Taylor Swift.
Ithaca Holdings purchased Big Machine Label Group and all of its music assets which included the master rights to Taylor’s first six studio albums 17 months ago.
Taylor hinted that she was not given the chance to participate in the deal was she aware of it. She said this on multiple occasions.
And after she has been legally allowed to re-record her music, Braun has sold off the catalogue at a hefty price. Reports from Variety reveals that Braun has sold the assets for ‘north $300 million’ to an unknown yet investment fund. The deal was alleged to have completed two weeks ago.
We can’t wait to find out the mysterious entity that now owns the catalogue of Taylor Swifts which includes some of her hits like ‘Shake It Off’ and ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together.’
