The American Music Awards, AMAs which will be aired on Sunday, November 22nd, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles will be hosted by acclaimed actress Taraji P. Henson.
Taraji in a statement said, “The AMA brings together the music community to celebrate what really drives all artists – the fans. I’m proud to take the stage as this year’s host – and also a fan – for what promises to be an electrifying night of music.”
The weeknd and Roddy Rich are the nominees for the fan-voted awards with eight nominations, followed by Megan Thee Stallion, who received five nominations. Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, Bad Bunny and DaBaby each have four nods.

Also, Dua Lipa scored an AMAs nomination for a favourite female artist in the pop/rock category, alongside Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. She again is competing in the favourite pop/rock song category with Lewis Capaldi, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch and The Weeknd.
This year’s award ceremony is being produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by MRC Entertainment, the parent company of Billboard.
BTS have been announced as performers at this year’s AMAs.
