T.I. is asking a court to dismiss a defamation case filed by Sabrina Peterson, who accused T.I. of holding a gun to her head and then sued the rapper for defamation, according to TMZ.
Peterson alleges in her lawsuit that T.I. and Tiny utilized social media and public utterances to launch a smear campaign against her, but T.I. argues her reputation is terrible enough as it is, according to documents acquired by TMZ. The rapper also claims that she cannot sue him because of their differing viewpoints.
T.I.’s attorney, Andrew Brettler, described Peterson as “an adjudged liar, a convicted felon with a lengthy rap sheet for crimes involving dishonesty and violent assault, and has a reputation for being unscrupulous.”
Tiny apparently labeled Peterson “strange” and commented online saying “everybody knows you been special,” according to the original defamation suit.
While it’s unknown whether the court will dismiss the case, T.I.’s request comes months after he and Tiny were accused of drugging, rape, and kidnapping by countless women, where Sabrina Peterson shared her initial accusation on Jan. 26th before later leading 30 other complainants, all with similar accusations against the Harrises.
According to reports, the pair are being investigated by the LAPD, but their lawyer, Steve Sadow released a statement at the time which read:
“The Harrises have not spoken to or been contacted by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the Las Vegas Police Department (LVPD) or, indeed, any member of law enforcement from any other jurisdiction in the country.
“Even assuming the story in the Daily Beast is close to accurate, it appears the LAPD ‘accuser’ has chosen once again to remain anonymous, thereby preventing us from being in a position to disprove or refute her allegations — or even examine them. Meanwhile, although we now appear for the first time to have the name of an ‘accuser’ who supposedly filed a police report with LVPD, we have absolutely zero details about her or her claim.”
