SZA took to Twitter to confirm Drake’s claim that they used to date, but also went on to put on record that it didn’t happen in 2008.
She issued the correction on Drake’s rap on the new 21 Savage track, ‘Mr. Right Now.’ In the rap, he says, “Yeah, said she wanna f**k to some SZA, wait, Cause I used to date SZA back in ’08.”
She took to Twitter to clarify as people pointed out that SZA would have been 17 at the time if Drake’s timeline of their dating history is accurate.
She tweeted:
So It was actually 2009 lol 🙃.. in this case a year of poetic rap license mattered 🥴lol I think he jus innocently rhymed 08 w wait . Anybody who really knows me and was around during this time can confirm.. it’s all love all peace 🤝💎💫 .

It seems SZA wasn’t happy about Drake’s lyric as she unfollowed him on Instagram shortly after ‘Mr. Right Now’ was released.SZA is cool with everything now as she says, “it’s all love and peace.”
