Fans of SWV and Xscape were given a long-awaited epic showdown during the iconic Verzuz battle on Saturday but the night didn’t start of without a hitch as Coko, who was the former lead singer for SWV seemingly appeared to be “irritated” during the first half of the showdown.
Taking to her Instagram page, the 50-year old admitted to viewer’s observations and shared the reason for her behaviour.
Coko explained: “Last night as I’m preparing for Verzuz, a lady was shot outside my hotel window. To see & hear the four shots, see her laying on the ground and all the blood was unbelievable!! Thennnn…I get to the venue and had a really bad anxiety attack!😱 Literally crying & screaming.
Yeah y’all saw me looking uncomfortable & irritated during the first half but, if it wasn’t for my son @jayyemichael@ynottamiya & @mrljb I probably wouldn’t have been out there at all.

Well, that explains a lot, and we are so proud of Coko for pushing through such a horrific incident in order to come deliver an awesome night to her fans.
