Spotify has announced Hometown, a new live music format bringing Jorja Smith, Nemzzz and Beabadoobee back to the communities that helped shape their careers.
Launching this September, the series will feature three intimate, one-night-only performances, with top Spotify listeners invited to attend before each show is released globally as an exclusive concert film on the platform.
Jorja Smith will return to Walsall on 6 September, shortly after the release of her new album What Are The Odds.
“Home is where my heart is and home is where I found my voice,” Jorja said. “I hope it’s a moment that inspires the next generation to believe that big things really can come from Walsall.”
Nemzzz will represent Manchester on 12 September, while Beabadoobee will headline the London edition on 17 September.
Beyond the performances, Spotify will work with each artist on community initiatives designed to support young people in their respective hometowns, including donations to participating youth groups.
Concert films from all three Hometown performances will premiere exclusively on Spotify in the weeks following the shows.
