Nasir Dean, Swizz Beatz’s son, is slated to make his feature film debut, appearing in the coming-of-age film Charge It To The Game.
Dean will play a character called Preach in the film, according to TMZ. His portrayal as Preach, one of the four closest buddies important to the plot, will be a significant step forward in his acting career. He’s dabbled in acting before, performing with his father in a music video for Common’s “Hercules” in 2019.
The plot for the movie reads: “The relationship between Preach and his long-time girlfriend Shureka, a truly spoiled brat with ADHD, is finally beginning to crack at the seams, while the romance between Grey Dogg and his forbidden love Jordan is blossoming. As the trio navigates the current obstacles of the day, such as social injustice, peer pressure, decisions about higher education and family dysfunction, the untimely death of newfound friend Junkyard unites the trio in undertaking the most challenging feat possible – breaking the mysterious Lone Wolf’s record for the greatest number of high-fashion rims ever stolen in a single night.”
Dean released an EP via Epic Records last year, and is actively working to deliver a follow-up later this year. Dean has been taking his acting more seriously recently, according to his manager and attorney Nichole Levy, and he even auditioned for a part in the second season of Euphoria. Even though he didn’t get it, Charge It To The Game came his way soon after.
