On Friday, September 10, MAC Cosmetics announced on social media that the 28-year-old star is the new face of MAC Cosmetics.

Taking to Twitter, the brand posted a video with their followers which saw Saweetie adorn a silver sleek dress with a diamond choker, bedazzled acrylics, and large hoop earrings that highlighted her sharp cat-eye makeup and artificial lashes.

In the video, Saweetie could be heard saying, “I’m definitely a MAC girl,” with the caption, “Our new Best Friend 💋. @Saweetie is the new M·A·C Girl and Global Brand Ambassador.”

Speaking of Saweetie’s new role as the face of MAC, SVP, and Global Creative Director for the brand said:

“Saweetie’s message of self-confidence and female empowerment is the perfect match for a brand like MAC that has always embraced unapologetic self-expression with open arms. She has always loved our products, she told me she has swallowed pounds of M·A·C lip gloss in her life.”

According to the brand, Saweetie will be the face of MAC’s forthcoming collections and ads, and will collaborate with the brand’s makeup artists to highlight her “signature looks and beauty secrets.”

Saweetie’s new role is yet another addition to the femcee’s lengthy list of accomplishments this year. Following her split with Migos’ Quavo earlier this year, Saweetie has landed some impressive brand deals like being named as brand ambassador for Revlon-owned nail polish brand Sinful Colors and a meal collaboration with McDonald’s.

She also partnered with a beauty brand called Morphe back in March last year, to release their ‘Backstage With Saweetie’ collection which included lip gloss, makeup brushes, eye shadow palette, and more.

Saweetie certainly has a lot going for her and we can’t wait to see where she lands next.
