In response to Erica’s custody request in their divorce, the “Love & Hip Hop” star is standing his ground for joint custody. According to new legal documents acquired by TMZ, Safaree seeks shared legal custody, as he wants a role in parenting choices for his infant daughter, Safire, and their second child, expected next month.
Furthermore, Safaree has stated that he wishes for constant and continuous parenting and visitation with his children. He claims that this is in the children’s best interests.
In terms of Erica’s request for exclusive possession of the home they presently share, Safaree appears to be amenable to it if he can be relieved of any debt associated with the house through a mortgage refinancing and presuming he receives his portion of any equity in the house.
Safaree also wishes to maintain exclusive ownership of their respective automobiles, as well as be permitted to keep all personal goods acquired throughout the marriage separately. In terms of alimony, he wants the court to deny her any and to assess whether or not they have any child support obligations.
This news comes after Erica filed for divorce in May, demanding primary custody of the children, to which Safaree evidently isn’t about to give it up easily.
