It appears Ray J has made his mind up about leaving his wife Princess Love, as the R&B singer has reportedly filed for divorce on Wednesday in the Los Angeles Superior Court, according to PEOPLE.
The couple married in 2016 and share two children Epik Ray, 1-year-old, and Melody Love, 3 years old.
TMZ initially broke the news this week, after the publication spoke with Ray while the singer seeks treatment for pneumonia.
Ray J’s manager David Weintraub had previously told PEOPLE that the artist was “in the hospital for pneumonia, but it’s not the contagious kind.”
Adding that “[The doctors] wanted to keep him there a couple extra days to watch him,” and that he’s undergone “multiple COVID tests, and he tested negative for all of them.”
The latest divorce filing comes after Love announced in November 2019 that she was going to file for divorce after Ray J allegedly left her and their daughter “stranded” in Las Vegas, despite the 40-year-old vehemently denying the accusation.
Love went ahead and filed for divorce in May 2020, only months after giving birth to her second child with Ray J. In July, she requested that the case be dismissed, just two months after it was filed.
Ray J filed for divorce in mid-September, asking for joint custody of their two children, despite the fact that the couple seemed to have reconciled after Ray J shared a heartfelt message to Love on her birthday, the month prior.
Ray J decided to call off the divorce, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE in March, although the decision was made “without prejudice,” to give either party a chance to change their mind and proceed with the process.
Speaking to PeopleTV’s Reality Check back in February, Ray J stated that he and Love were “in a really good place as parents, as friends and as people who really just want everything to be right for our kids, for our family and for us.”
Adding: “When you have two kids and you love your kids and love making them happy, I think from both of our eyes, just the good times exude all around.”
