In response to a social media post, Lil Durk has shown interest in purchasing Chicago’s Parkway Gardens, an affordable housing complex where he and his late friend King Von, once resided.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Related Midwest, a real estate and development firm, has placed the property up for sale. The property covers 13 acres and includes 694 apartments in three buildings which span across 63rd and 65th streets.

According to the Sun-Times, the buyer of the property will need to secure a contract with the federal housing authority that will ensure affordable rent for “years to come.” The asking price for the housing complex by Related Midwest is currently unknown.

It is evident how sentimental the building is to the rapper and we can be sure that Lil Durk will move heavens to purchase the property in honour of his fallen friend and label mate.
