The troubles of R. Kelly only seem to be worsening by the day, as a new report has Azriel Clary readying her testimony in court, against the R&B singer, after claims of harassment and intimidation by her family.
Angelo, Clary’s father, tells TMZ that his daughter made the decision to testify on her own and the decision has resulted in workplace harassment and internet abuse, as well as doxxing.
Following Azriel’s admittance to testify in court, the 22-year-old had her car set ablaze, to which a man has pleaded guilty. According to Angelo, the harassment is causing his daughter stress, but that she will not back down.
Azriel Clary is most remembered for her appearance on CBS This Morning with Gayle King, where she defended the disgraced singer with Joycelyn Savage, his other live-in lover. However, in an interview with The Sun, Azriel admits to being “brainwashed” and “manipulated.”
“I definitely do believe that I was very naive and very brainwashed and manipulated by him,” Clary said. “And as much as I hate to say it I’m woman enough and I’m grown enough to admit that yes, I was brainwashed and yes, I was manipulated. And yes, this man did have me wrapped around his finger. If he would have told me to jump, I would have said, ‘how high?’”
Following a tumultuous relationship with Savage, Azriel has been working with the feds to bring Kelly down.
While still in high school, she met R. Kelly during one of his concerts and moved into his house, where she stayed for five years.
Azriel Clary is now prepared to testify against him in court next week, and her father has informed TMZ that he would be by her side.
