INAYAH – WHAT ARE WE
Inayah has an ability to tell round-the-way, down-to-earth stories about making songs and love that emotionally resonate with R&B enthusiasts. The singer and songwriter continue to give her supporters what they need with her newest single, What Are We?
In her new song, the singer is asking questions about her relationship with the man with who she has been spending quality time. Are they going to create a future together? Have they only glorified friends with benefits? Are they only sleeping together? Sultry production underscores her vocals and lyrics with a melodic combination of flute, percussion, and bass.
KWANKU ASANTE – ILLUSIONS
Kwanku Asante is finally back with a second teaser with a song, Illusion. The song is an appealing combination of organ-like piano licks, pleasing percussions, and an acoustic guitar, which eventually breaks into a salsa-inspired solo.
The songwriting of Asante cuts through the light-hearted production work of Dan Holloway as he narrates lyrics about coping up with his deep-rooted turmoil and emotions. According to the artist, his new song is about short things he often indulges in to get him through tough times.
CHILDREN OF ZEUS – NO LOVE SONG
It has been long years since this musical band group gave everyone their debut album. For their new single, No Love Song, Children of Zeus are back, teaming up once again with Beat Butcha, one of the crucial creative forces behind their debut album, Travel Light. They crafted an ultra-slick R&B slow jam.
It appears the duo have utilized the team to concentrate on making their songwriting and their sound into something much mature with live shows a no-go, but still attached to Soundsystem culture.
TARELA – HOLD ME DOWN
Afro-Fusion star and global dancehall artist, Tarela released a new single titled, Hold Me Down. The vibey Caribbean flows through the very core of his newest joint as reggae instrumentations, sun-soaked melodies, and sweet vibrations set the tone for the entire beat.
The singer makes a heart-filled vibe with sing-along status, smoothly skipping between soulful English delivery and Jamaican patois. Tarela’s sound is a new and refreshing blend, embodying Afro-Fusion and Nigerian Dancehall.
