Omari Hardwick, best known for his role in Power, will star alongside Hollywood superstar actress Halle Berry in The Mothership, a sci-fi adventure film produced by MRC Film, Automatik, and Netflix.

The film stars Halle Berry as Sara Morse, a woman picking up the pieces after her husband’s mysterious disappearance when she discovers an extraterrestrial object beneath her farmland home. Written and directed by Matt Charman, best known for Bridge of Spies, Sara and her children scramble to figure out what this unusual artifact has to do with her husband’s disappearance.

Automatik’s Fred Berger and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones will produce the film, with Danny Stillman serving as executive producer. Halle Berry is no stranger to science fiction, having starred as Molly Woods in the CBS sci-fi series Extant.

Berry is also set to feature in a number of sci-fi films in the near future, including The Mothership. She’s also set to appear in the forthcoming sci-fi film Moonfall, which will debut in February 2022 with Roland Emmerich serving as the director. Berry will also star and direct a Netflix special, titled ‘Bruised,’ which is set in the world of sports.

Hardwick is most known for his appearances as James “Ghost” St. Patrick in the Starz drama Power, as well as Andre in Being Mary Jane and Vanderohe in Zach Snyder’s Army Of The Dead, which just released to positive acclaim on Netflix.
