As we reported moments ago, Harry Styles and Candace Owens find themselves in a brewing feud of sorts, when Owens took to social media to mock the singer. In Harry’s defense, Noah Cyrus took to Instagram stories to show her support but in doing so used an offensive term and the backlash has been monumental, to say the least.

Noah on her Instagram stories shared an image with the caption: “He wears this dress better than any of u nappy a** Heauxz”

The backlash received by Noah Cyrus quickly saw her take down the post and the 22-year-old in recognition of her misjudgment took to her Instagram Stories to apologize for the racially insensitive tone her words carried.

She said: “I am mortified that I used a term without knowing the context and history, but I know now and I am horrified and truly sorry. I will never use it again. Thank you for educating me. I in no way meant to offend anyone. I am so sorry.”

As much as these mistakes keep happening more often than should, it’s important to acknowledge when someone said the wrong thing as we all educate ourselves to different cultures and beliefs.
