Nippa has always carried Tottenham with him, but on his new EP Homegrown, the North London R&B artist makes that connection the foundation of his next chapter.

Across nine tracks, Nippa balances the familiarity of home with the reality of an increasingly international career. It’s a fitting tension for an artist whose profile continues to grow beyond the ends that shaped him, without losing sight of where the story started.

That comes through immediately on the Blxst-assisted title track, which previously soundtracked the launch of Tottenham Hotspur’s 2026/27 Home and Away kits. It’s a full-circle moment, but Homegrown doesn’t spend its entire runtime looking backwards.

Instead, Nippa uses the EP to stretch the boundaries of his R&B. ‘Bittersweet’, produced by Kaytranada and Rance, brings a hypnotic house pulse into the mix, while ‘Just Vibe’ pushes further towards the dancefloor. Jordan Ward joins him on ‘Kacey’, while ‘Say It With Your Chest’ and ‘T&C’s’ offer some of the project’s slower moments.

The confidence is balanced by vulnerability. Closing track ‘I’m Scared To Be Left Alone’ strips things back as Nippa confronts the insecurities that sit beneath the ambition.

That contrast is what makes Homegrown an interesting step forward. Nippa isn’t abandoning the R&B that introduced him, but widening the world around it while keeping Tottenham firmly at the centre.

Homegrown is out now via Warner Records.
