It is almost impossible to believe with 10 Grammy nominations, that Nicki Minaj has yet to win a grammy award.
Well, this year’s unveiling of the Grammy nominations has so many artists confused and baffled by the selection made. Nicki however, will be the most amazed as she had her first two #1 hits on the Hot 100 but was declined a single nomination.
Nicki expressed the least concern as she felt attacked by the recording academy some years back. Taking to Twitter, the female rapper reflected on the first time she was snubbed by the institution.
She tweeted: Never forget the Grammys didn’t give me my best new artist award when I had 7 songs simultaneously charting on billboard & bigger first week than any female rapper in the last decade- went on to inspire a generation. They gave it to the white man Bon Iver. #PinkFriday

This refers to the 54th annual edition which took place in 2012, the year she was nominated for her debut studio album ‘The PinkPrint’.
To be honest, the list of nominations for that group was a heavy bunch, except the winner of the group Bon Iver. Nicki battled with J. Cole, The Band Perry, Skrillex, and Bon Iver whom we heard little to no music from after his win.
